In a significant development in the investigation into the Lahore blast, law enforcement agencies (LEAs) have arrested two facilitators who helped terrorists in the Anarkali explosion.
In the early hours of Friday morning, according to police sources, the Punjab police’s counter-terrorism unit apprehended two individuals and transferred them to an undisclosed location for further investigation.
In a statement, they stated that “the facilitators would be interrogated over their terror network and those who carried out the Lahore blast.”
Earlier in the day, it was announced that the law enforcement officials (LEAs) had identified the culprits in the blast in Lahore’s Anarkali market using CCTV video and had generated sketches of the suspects in the blast.
“The terrorist who planted a bag at the blast site was in communication with his handler,” the authorities stated, adding that the terrorists had been identified using surveillance footage from the scene.

It has been reported that on the clip, the two handlers can be seen carrying out reconnaissance while the terrorist who put the device can also be seen joining them a short time later. It was said that “all three of them were dressed in shalwar and kameez.”
At least three people, including a toddler, were killed and 29 others were injured in a bomb blast that occurred at 1:40 p.m. on Thursday afternoon in Lahore’s crowded Anarkali neighborhood.

The injured were transferred to the city’s Mayo Medical Center for treatment. According to the Medical Superintendent of the hospital, around eight injured people were in a critical state.
Moreover, a nine-year-old child who had traveled from Karachi to visit relatives in Lahore was killed. The explosion caused damage to a lot of motorcycles that were parked near the scene of the incident. The force of the blast broke windows throughout the building.
