A November Instagram post in which Hadid uploaded a series of photos of herself sobbing prompted her to speak about her own mental health. She said, “I had extremely sad moments and my mom or my doctor would ask how I was and instead of having to react in text, I’d simply send them a photo.” My lack of ability to express my emotions made it the simplest thing for me to do at the moment.
