Shafqat Mahmood Calls Meeting to Make Decision Regarding School

Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mahmood has scheduled a meeting of the Inter-Provincial Education Ministers Conference (IPEMC) on Thursday to assess the current COVID scenario in the country with regard to educational institutions.

It has been declared that the meeting will be held tomorrow (Thursday) under the chairmanship of the Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mahmood, in accordance with a notification published by the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training (MoFEPT). All of the education ministers were expected to attend the meeting.

Moreover, it was declared that the 34th meeting of the Provincial Education Ministers’ Conference (IPEMC) would be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday and that it would be presided over by the Minister of Federal Education and Professional Training Shafqat Mehmood. “The meeting will discuss a number of issues,” the notification stated.

The following things will be discussed during the meeting:

  • Review of the current COVID situation in the country, particularly as it pertains to educational establishments.
  • Interprovincial consultation to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality textbooks in the school year 2022 is underway.
  • Coordination between provinces in regards to the timely provision of NOCs for textbooks.
  • Any other items on the agenda may be included with the agreement of the chair.

The meeting will be held using the technology of video conferencing.
