The famous all-rounder said CSA Director of Cricket Graeme Smith refused to give NOCs for PSL, citing the contracted players’ international and provincial obligations.
The CSA permitted its contracted players to participate in the Indian Premier League (IPL) while Pakistan was in South Africa in April last year.
The BCCI has grown tremendously strong in the cricketing world due to the enormous financial rewards it offers its players.
“The standard of PSL will stay much above IPL regardless of whether CSA’s contracted players participate or not,” said the 46-year-old.
PSL 2022 will begin on January 27 at National Stadium Karachi. The final will take held on 27 February at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium.
