Two soldiers martyred in terrorist attack at Kech checkpoint Balochistan

Two soldiers were martyred in a terrorist attack on a military checkpoint in District Kech, Balochistan, on Friday morning.

Following the exchange of fire, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations, Lance Naik Manzar Abbas and Sepoy Abdul Fath both embraced martyrdom.

‘Security forces are resolved to counter such activities of unfriendly elements, which have been carried out with the goal of undermining the peace, stability, and progress of the Balochistan province,’ the military’s media wing said in a statement.

It was also revealed that a follow-up operation was already underway in the area to locate and apprehend fleeing terrorists.

Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa, who was on a visit to the Line of Control on Thursday, stated that maintaining constant vigilance and readiness to address any threats and contingencies is essential for maintaining security along the LOC.

The troops’ battle readiness and excellent level of morale had also been noted by the Chief of Army Staff.

He gave an overview of the ground situation along the line of communication and the operational preparedness of the formation.
