WhatsApp Android Tests Shortcut for Forwarding Stickers

WhatsApp for Android beta 2.21.24.11 now has a dedicated button for fast forwarding stickers. WhatsApp is testing a new shortcut to swiftly send stickers to contacts. The modification is currently only available to Android beta testers, but it may soon be available to all. It comes days after WhatsApp released an unique sticker generator for desktop and web users. Meta’s (formerly Facebook’s) instant messaging service uses stickers to allow users to express themselves visually. It also permitted third-party sticker developers.

According to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp for Android beta version 2.21.24.11 now has a dedicated button for fast forwarding stickers. Previous beta testers reported it as well. Gadgets 360 got the latest WhatsApp beta update.

The forward shortcut is next to the sticker in your message thread, allowing you to share it with others. Tap the shortcut, then select the contact you wish to share your sticker with. In order to share the sticker with your contacts, you normally need to tap and hold it.

WhatsApp already features a similar picture forward shortcut that enables you swiftly share images in your discussions.

You can test the upgrade by downloading the current WhatsApp for Android beta version after signing up as a WhatsApp tester on Google Play. You can also sideload the beta version APK from APK Mirror to see the changes.

WhatsApp added stickers in October 2018. Since then, the messaging software has updated to make it easier to distribute stickers. It has recently allowed Web and desktop users to create personalized stickers to share on the site.
