In a statement issued Thursday, PML-N Information Secretary Marriyum Aurangzeb said the party will not boycott the National Security Committee (NSC) meeting, which is slated to take place on November 8.
PML-N spokesman stated in a statement that her party has always participated in National Security Council meetings in the past, and that PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif will present the party’s viewpoint at the meeting on Thursday morning.
She affirmed that the combined opposition will be represented at the NSC meeting.
As the PML-N spokesperson continued, the prime minister had stated that the price of petrol will rise and that there would be a shortage of natural gas. He questioned what sort of government would provide relief to its citizens after three years in power.
In her letter to the premier, she requested an explanation regarding the status of his previous commitments. “Prime Minister, could you please tell me what happened to your earlier promises?” According to a PML-N official.
The middle class, she continued, was being crushed by inflation at the time of writing.
