Pakistan thrashes India by 10 wickets in T20 World Cup

Defeating India for the first time in a World Cup match on Sunday night, Pakistan put an end to a cruel jinx that had begun in 1992 and continued until now.

Pakistan’s Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan have gotten the team off to a fast start in the United Arab Emirates. After seven overs, the tandem took the team to a total of 46/0. They amassed yet another 50-run stand between them as they continued to put India on the defensive.

At the half-way point, they had Pakistan down to 71 points. After that, the two added another 100 runs to their partnership, and Babar Azam hit a fifty to help Pakistan reach 101/0 after 13 overs.

Eventually, Rizwan reached his fifty-run mark and remained undefeated on 79, partnering Babar’s unbeaten 68, as Pakistan cruised to victory with 2.1 overs remaining. Pakistan has been set a goal of 152 runs in 20 overs by India.

After being given the opportunity to bat, Team India got off to the worst conceivable start. In the opening over, Shaheen Afridi trapped Rohit Sharma leg before wicket with the score at zero. He had disappeared in search of a golden duck.

During his following over, Afridi removed KL Rahul from the game on three, by upsetting his timber. At 4, Suryakuamr Yadav played a couple of shots and got the scoreboard going, but he was removed by Hasan Ali in the sixth over of the innings.

After the Powerplay, India eventually reached a score of 36/3. India scored 24 runs in the next four overs to maintain the high run pace. India’s comeback was launched in part as a result of Rishabh Pant upping the ante and Kohli playing second fiddle.

Shadab Khan caught and bowled him after he blasted two one-handed sixes in the first over. After 15 overs, India reached a score of 100/4. After Kohli reached his 29th Twenty20 International fifty, India registered a total of 151/6 in their 20 overs. Kohli was ejected after 57 minutes.
