Damaged Asia-Europe cable slows internet in Pakistan

In the wake of the development of a defect in one of the country’s international subsea cables, internet services were suspended across the country.


Because of a failure of a 25,000-kilometer-long cable connecting Europe and Asia, this occurs. Furthermore, it has a detrimental impact on a number of countries, including Pakistan.


Due to a subsea defect in the cable system, which was controlled by Trans World Associates, there were some issues during the SMW-5 mission (TWA).
