According to Fawad Chaudhary, legal action may be taken against New Zealand and England in relation to the financial losses suffered by PTV

PTV, according to Fawad Chaudhry, Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, has suffered millions of dollars in damages as a result of the cancellation of the New Zealand and England tours to the country (PTV).
Pakistan has been attempting to attract international teams to its shores for some time, but the odds have not been in Pakistan’s favour recently.

As the information minister noted on Twitter, PTV is considering taking legal action against New Zealand Cricket (NZC) and the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) in order to collect the damages incurred.

A day after the European Central Bank (ECB) announced its withdrawal from the Pakistan tour, following NZC’s sudden pullout from the country, the Information Minister made his remarks.

His remarks continued by stating that an international lobby is actively working against Pakistan, but that the detractors would never triumph and that their misconceptions will be quickly corrected.

It should be noted that this was the first visit to Pakistan by either New Zealand or England since 2003, and the first visit by either country since 2004.

Immediately following the terrorist attack on Sri Lanka’s team bus in Lahore in 2009, the worldwide cricket community withdrew its support from Pakistan. Since then, Pakistan has struggled to attract top-tier international cricket teams to the country.

After two consecutive losses, in the form of tour cancellations by New Zealand and England, the Pakistan Cricket Board has wasted all of its earlier efforts, and the country is once again at risk of being abandoned by the world cricketing community.
