On Thursday, a new island appeared in the Arabian Sea near the Balochistan beach of Kund Malir, which was previously undiscovered.
People who are acquainted with the region, which includes parts of Hingol National Park along the Makran Coastal Highway, have claimed that the island came out of nowhere and spanned a wide area before dissipating completely.
An island has developed off the coast of Sonmiani in the west, near Kund Malir, according to Muhammad Moazzam Khan, a WWF Pakistani Technical Advisor (Marine Fisheries) who has been working there for the last year.
He explained that the islands appear as a result of excessive geological activity in the area, and that such small islands eventually vanish as a result of the geological activity. He stated that it is a common occurrence in the surrounding area.
It’s worth noting that similar islands appeared in the same location in both 2000 and 2010, which is significant.
The country of Pakistan was rocked by a massive earthquake of magnitude 7.7 in 2013, which created an island off the coast of Gwadar. The island, on the other hand, reappeared after a period of time had passed.
