Twitter users in Canada and parts of the United States appeared to be having trouble accessing the social media platform on Friday morning. Reports from third-party web monitoring service Downdetector indicate that the Twitter is experiencing a widespread disruption and this issue is affecting consumers in Canada. And particularly in the eastern United States near the Canadian border. Although users from more countries continue to report the annoyance.
The crash, according to most reports, started around 8:30 a.m. ET, lasting more than an hour for some users. Just before 10 a.m. ET, service appeared to be recovering for most, if not all, based on user information.
In a tweet from its support account, Twitter confirmed that some users may be having issues loading the service. And moreover they said on twitter that this issue of widespread disruption has been fixed.
