Meanwhile, on Saturday Foreign Office (FO) stated that Dr Aafia Siddiqui, a jailed neuroscientist, was injured “little” following the attack by a fellow inmate in Carswell, USA, last month, at the Federal Medical Center (FMC) and that it was done “well.”

FO Speaker Zahid Hafeez Chaudhary stated in a statement that on 30 July, the authorities were informed about the Siddiqui attack by a fellow prisoner.

“We took the problem up as quickly with the relevant US authorities through our Embassy in Washington, DC and by our General Consulate in Houston,” he added.

The FO speaker said the US authorities had filed an official complaint to examine the situation and protect its safety and well-being. The FO spokesman.
