UK and Pakistan agreed to keep in touch with developments in Afghanistan

Pakistan and the United Kingdom have agreed to keep in communication with the changing Afghanistan scenario after the war-torn country was taken over by the Taliban.

The development occurred when Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan and his British colleague, Boris Johnson, talked over via telephone, according to a statement from the PM’s office.

During the call, the two premiers gave an overview of the present situation in Afghanistan and PM Imran Khan emphasized how important Pakistan’s “peaceful and stable Afghanistan” and its inclusive political settlement are.

Imran khan also highlights the beneficial contribution of Pakistan to facilitate the evacuation from Afghanistan of diplomatic employees and foreign organizations’ workers.

PM Johnson has promised PM Imran Khan working with other countries to prevent a humanitarian disaster in Afghanistan and of any international recognition of the new administration.
