Following Pakistani athletes’ dismal performance in the Tokyo Olympics, the Government of Pakistan has requested the resignation of Pakistan Olympics Association head, Syed Arif Hasan.
Since 2004, Arif Hasan has been over the Olympic Association of Pakistan.
Dr. Shahbaz Gill, while at a news conference conducted by Inter-Provincial Coordination Minister Dr Fehmida Mirza, stated that four of Pakistan’s players could only qualify for POA failure for the Olympics.
He stated that athletics cannot take any more shame. Dr Shahbaz Gill said clearly that for the last seventeen years there has been no government official in the POA and that only one individual is involved in the activities of the POA.
He stated that those players who opposed the president of POA were forbidden to participate in the Olympics.
