Pakistan has recorded another 102 deaths from COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, bringing the country’s total death toll to 24,187 and 4,934 new cases, according to the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC).
According to the NCOC, the total number of confirmed cases in the nation has grown to 1,085,294 due to the development of 4,934 new infections.
Overall, 975,474 people have recovered from the pandemic, with the positive rate of infections increasing to 8.30% from 7.50% yesterday.
The COVID-19 has claimed 102 additional deaths in Pakistan in the previous 24 hours, according to the NCOC, with 4,584 individuals in serious condition.
In total, 16,675,527 tests were carried out in Pakistan to detect the deadly virus, including 59,397 in the last 24 hours.
With 406,109 infections, Sindh province is the most afflicted area in the country, followed by Punjab province, which has recorded 368,195 cases.
With 150,026 instances, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa remained third on the list. So far, Islamabad has reported 92,233 new infections, Balochistan has reported 31,341, AJK has reported 28,347, and GB has reported 9,043 new infections.
The National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) cut the time between both doses of COVID-19 vaccines from 42 to 28 days yesterday in an effort to speed up the immunization push across the country.
