85% Sindh population did not receive vaccination

About 85% of the eligible population in Sindh’s nine districts, including Dadu, Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah’s constituency, and Larkana, a PPP stronghold, have not received the COVID vaccine.

According to the data, only 10% of the population aged 18 and over in Dadu district, which is home to Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah, received the immunization.

Kemari district in Karachi and Qambar Shahdadkot district in Qambar having a vaccinated population of 10%.

The immunization rate in Ghotki and Khairpur is 11%, followed by Larkana and Jacobabad, where just 16% of the population has gotten the COVID vaccine. COVID vaccinations have been administered to 13% of the Kashmore district’s population.

According to a report published on August 2, Sindh government spokesman Murtaza Wahab shared data indicating that 25% of Karachi’s population over the age of 18 has been immunized against COVID-19.

took to Twitter to share a chart with detailed vaccination figures in the province, showing that 25.79 percent of Karachi’s population over the age of 18 has been vaccinated after 3.6 million people received COVID jabs in the city, with 2.6 million receiving the first dose and 0.96 million receiving the second dose.

It also revealed that around 58 percent and 52 percent of individuals in Karachi’s East and South districts, respectively, have been immunized against the virus.

According to the data, 6.6 million persons (18.96 percent of the provincial population over the age of 18) have been vaccinated across the province.
