According to the PTI, intra-party votes will be held next year

The ruling Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) on Friday said that it had not missed the legal deadline one day after a show case was ordered for a “failure to carry out elections intra-partisans within the specified time.”

The latest intra-party elections for the party took held in June 2017, according to the PTI secretary of communications Ahmad Jawad, and the tenure of the elected office-bearers practically expired one year later.

He said it will be reviewed in all respects by the notice sent to party president Imran Khan.

He stated that after analyzing the Notice in the light of the law, the next course of action will be disclosed.

Mr. Jawad claimed the PTI was the country’s intra-party elections party.

He said the PTI’s constitution included elections within the party, and PM Imran Khan had a clear view on the notion of democracy inside the party.

He added that since its formation the PTI has had intra-party elections.
