A man was caught outside Parliament House on Monday for displaying a gun and a knife. The man is seen in a few videos, which have now become popular in Social Media, with one gun in one hand and the other with a knife.
Police officers are around the suspect, attempting to reason. He was caught and brought to a local police station immediately.
After his arrest, the police claimed he’s a 45-year-old male living in Rawalpindi’s Chakri region, an early inquiry showed.
Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani told IG Islamabad that he was preparing a report on the event.
According to sources in the Islamabad Police, an early inquiry indicated that the suspect was not of sound mind.
“The suspect stated that he came out [on the streets] to save the country, which is in terrible difficulties,” according to sources.
According to reports, the suspect stated that Pakistan was set to collapse as a consequence of a plan.
According to police sources, both the knife and the handgun recovered from the suspect were rusted.
