According to a press release, Selena Gomez collaborated with La’Mariette to create a swimsuit line that is all about “celebrating the reality that all bodies are beautiful.”
“The brand wants to make women feel empowered by their bodies rather than embarrassed of them,” according to the press release.
The brand’s creators, Theresa Mingus and Morgan Brutocao asked the 28-year-old singer to add her imprint on a six-style collaboration that will debut on July 3.
“It was a lot of fun for us to play around with making swimsuits because [the founders] and I both like being outside so much,” Selena added.
When it came to choosing designs for the collection, the Lose You to Love Me singer said she wanted to step outside of her comfort zone “After looking at samples, I decided that purple was my favourite hue; I wanted to avoid the red and white colours that I usually gravitate toward. Purple had a unique effect on me. We also threw in a few flashes of colour, like green and neons, to make it seem like your own suit, no matter how you wear it.”
Selena models the designs in the new collection’s ad, which was shot on film and showcases her platinum blonde hair, which she’s been wearing on and off lately.
Many of Selena’s admirers filled the comment area, complementing her colorful makeup and expressing their enthusiasm for the release.
