Arbab Ghulam Rahim former Sindh CM joined PTI

Arbab Ghulam Rahim, the former chief minister of Sindh, has joined the PTI after meeting Prime Minister Imran Khan.

PM Khan charged Arbab Ghulam Rahimwith organizing the party in Sindh, and he promised that in the following days, people will hear a lot of “positive news” from the province.

After visiting former chief minister Shahbaz Sharif in Lahore in May 2013, the previous chief minister’s party, the People’s Muslim League (PML), united with the PML-N.

A short biography of Arbab Ghulam Rahim

From 2004 until 2007, the former PML-Q member served as Sindh’s chief minister.

Arbab Ghulam Rahim was born on September 15, 1957, in a hamlet in Tehsil Diplo, District Tharparkar, and had his early schooling there before enrolling at the Cadet College Petaro.

He then moved to Jamshoro to study medicine at Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences, but subsequently switched to Jinnah Sindh Medical University in Karachi, where he finished his five-year MBBS.

In 1983, he ran for local government office and was elected as the Nazim of Mirpur Khas district.

In 2002, he was elected to the Sindh Assembly on the PML-Q ticket from the PS-60 seat in Tharparkar.
