US agreed to lift sanctions on Iranian Oil shipments

Iran said that the United States agreed to lift all sanctions on Iranian oil and Iranian shipments. These remarks came from Outgoing President Hassan Rouhani’s chief of staff. It claims by officials in Rouhani’s camp that Washington is ready to make major concessions during April talks in Vienna.

Rouhani’s chief of staff said that Agreement has reached to lift all insurance, oil and shipping sanctions imposed by former US President Donald Trump.

Negotiations over consultations in the capital had suspended two days after Iran held a presidential election.  Election has won by hardline Ebrahim Raisi who was Iran’s top court’s judge and blacklisted by the United States. He will replace Rouhani in August 2021.

Western and Iranian negotiators are far from finalizing the talks. Although Germany warned that major talks between Tehran and world powers over the resumption of nuclear deal will continue. Moreover, even after the election of Raisi who is a critic of the West, a deal is still possible.

However, Raesi was the ultra-conservative chief justice. He received 17.92 million votes in Friday’s election and beat three of his rivals with a landslide victory. According to the Interior Ministry, turnout was 48.8%, the lowest level in Iran’s history. Read More…

German Foreign Minister said that Tehran and its armed forces still have significant obstacles to overcome. We are making progress but there are still many severe difficulties. He said this in joint news conference with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.

France’s junior foreign minister told lawmakers that time is running out to conclude a deal. He opened the door to the idea that a deal cannot reach quickly.

Israel warned on resuming nuclear deal with Iran

On the other side, Israeli new Prime Minister Naftali Bennett warned world powers against returning to the nuclear deal with Tehran. He referred his warning to the election of judiciary chief Ebrahim Raesi as Iran’s new president. Bennett said in a televised address during his first cabinet meeting since he took office.
