Instagram Introduces Full Screen 30-seconds Ads in Reels

Facebook is in the process of massive monetization and now Instagram users around the world will see ads in Reels’ short video function starting Friday. Ads will be full screen, cyclical and up to 30 seconds long, and will include video, reports The Verge.

Ads can be knowns by a Sponsored tag which is mention under the account name of Advertisers. Instagram began testing ads in India, Australia, Brazil and Germany in April and is now distributing them worldwide.

“Drum ads tend to appear full and vertical, like Tales ads, and may appear among Reels employees. Like regular drum content, these ads repeat and can last up to 30 seconds. Individuals can bookmark drum ads for likes, views and views, save and share,” Instagram said in a statement late Thursday.

Role ads appear on the preferred entry page for role content. It consists of the Reel tabs, Fairy Tale Reel, Find Reel, and User Feed Reel.

“We saw drums as a great way for people to discover new content on Instagram, so ads were provided. Brands of all sizes can take advantage of this new creative format in an environment where people are already having fun,” said Justin Osofsky, chief operating officer. , Instagram.

Users can see Ads like Organic posts which can run for 30 seconds which also include skipping ads completely. The ad may also include a “Shop Now” button, as the company screenshot shows.

Facebook is also experimenting with a new ad format for stories called ad stickers.

Designed for influential people, the ads “allow YouTubers to monetize their Facebook stories with ads that look like stickers and receive a share of the revenue.”

Stickers created by brands allow influential people to associate with certain products that their followers can buy.

Facebook has also announced that it will experiment with ads on Oculus Virtual Reality (VR) headsets.

The Oculus Quest VR advertising experiment will kick off in the coming weeks with Blaston from Resolution Games and several other developers.

Last month, Facebook announced it began testing ads on the Oculus mobile app. This will give developers a new way to showcase their VR apps.
