Microsoft has announced that it will end support for Windows 10 in 2025 as it prepares to unveil a major overhaul to its Windows operating system later this month. When window 10 launched in market the Microsoft said that it will the final version of the Operating System.
However, starting October 14, 2025, there will be no new security updates or fixes for the Home or Pro versions. Microsoft said that incoming OS will be the most significant update and features in the last decade.
Its predecessor, Windows 7, retired in 2020, although the company was able to pay. Microsoft to continue getting updates for Windows 7 Professional and Windows 7 Enterprise.
Windows 10 released in July 2015 and call “Windows as a Service”, meaning that software gradually updated at no additional cost instead of releasing a new version of its operating system every few years.
At the time, CEO Satya Nadela said it was a “new era” for personal computers.
