Pakistani imports from China continue at the top according to SBP

China topped the list of countries where Pakistan imported various products in the first ten months of the fiscal year (2020-21), followed by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Singapore.

Total imports from China were registered at $ 10,012,080 million from July to April (2020-21), up from $ 7638,060 million from July to April (2019-20). That increased 35.01 percent over the period, said the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).

Followed by the United Arab Emirates, where Pakistan imported $ 5,603.950 million worth of goods, down from imports worth $ 5,663,270 million last year, down 1.00 percent.

Singapore ranks third in the country where Pakistan imported $ 2,492,210 million worth of goods, up from $ 1991,130 million imports last year, an increase of 25.17 percent, according to the SBP.

Among these, Pakistan’s imports from the United States (US) totaled $ 1991,020 million, compared to $ 1,878,422 million in the previous year, an increase of 5.95 percent, while imports from Saudi Arabia were recorded in 1923. $ 886 million from $ 1,178,760 million last year, increased 61.98 percent, the data showed.

Imports from Malaysia were recorded at $ 977,004 million versus $ 821,830 million, while imports from Kuwait were recorded at $ 1075,928 million versus $ 910,496 million last year.

From July to April, imports from South Korea were recorded at $ 1058,760 million versus $ 623,540 million, while imports from Japan were registered at $ 1225,990 million versus $ 924,620 million, while imports from Switzerland were $ 943,460 million versus $ 507,010 million.
