Volkan Bozkir, chair of the 75th session of the UN General Assembly, paid a three-day official visit to Pakistan today (Wednesday).
Volkan Bozkir visited Pakistan at the invitation of Foreign Minister Shah Mahmoud Qureshi. While there, Volkan Bozkir will hold detailed talks with the Foreign Minister, according to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The interaction will cover a variety of political and socio-economic issues under the UN program.
Volkan Bozkir will also discuss the importance of multilateralism. Volkan Bozkiris the first Turkish citizen to chair the UN General Assembly. He is a former diplomat and senior politician.
He last visited Pakistan last August before taking over the chairmanship of the UN General Assembly.
