Pakistan began enrolling citizens aged 19 and over for the coronavirus vaccine today (Thursday). The government’s decision to open registration for the 19+ age group was announced on Twitter the day before by the Head of the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), Assad Umar.
Asad Umar has declared that registration would be available to the whole national population, which has been given the green light to get the vaccination by health experts.
“At today’s NCOC meeting, we decided to open vaccination registrations to everyone aged 19 years and over. This registration starts tomorrow. Now registration is open to the entire national population approved by health experts for Covid vaccination, “he tweeted.
On May 16, Pakistan opened registration for people over the age of 30. Umar has stated that the government is opening registrations for more age groups as the supply of vaccines in Pakistan continues to increase and the vaccination capacity in the country is increasing day by day.
On May 3, Pakistan opened national vaccine registries for people between the ages of 40 and 49, and then began vaccinating people of the same age group. The federal government has set up a digital registration portal where a person is coded. Then he can go to a certain vaccination center and have a stroke.
