Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mehmood will discuss the current situation with COVID-19 today with all health and education ministers at the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC).
The NCOC meeting will also review the Ramadan SOPs based on the advice of the scholars.
In a statement on Sunday, Mehmood said education and health ministers would meet at the NCOC on April 6 to decide whether to open or close educational institutions.
In his tweet, the minister said the exam situation would be discussed during the meeting.
“Whatever is decided will be a collective decision by the state health and education authorities and the NCOC,” he said.
On the other hand, the Sindh government suspended university education up to grade 8 on April 6 for 15 days, highlighting the risk of spreading COVID-19.
The provincial government has also proposed that the center impose a ban on transportation between provinces and planes to control the third wave of coronavirus that has wreaked havoc in recent weeks.
