Perwaiz Elahi says instead of giving speeches, make vaccination arrangements

Punjab Assembly President Chaudhry Perwaiz Elahi advised Prime Minister Imran Khan on Sunday to focus his energies on maximizing the number of people vaccinated.

The prime minister warned that the third wave of the coronavirus would worsen and urged people to take precautions for fear that the peak the country might see could be “worse than the first two peaks”.

According to a private news channel, the PML-Q leader, in response to the prime minister’s televised speech to the country, said it was more important for the prime minister to “arrange a vaccine than make a speech” to successfully fight the virus.

Pervaiz Elahi is concerned that the number of coronavirus cases recorded every day is increasing and Pakistan is lagging behind the worst in terms of vaccines compared to other countries in the region.
