Educational Institutes in Sindh will be closing on March 30th in honor of Shab-e-Barat

The Sindh government has announced that March 30 (Tuesday) will be a provincial holiday in honor of Shab-e-Barat. On Sha’ban will close public and private educational institutions on March 30 or 15, according to a release from the provincial government.


The announcement stated that the holiday will be celebrated on March 30, not on March 29 as previously announced.

Shab-e-Barat is the Night of Forgiveness when Muslims perform Nawafil and ask Allah SWT for forgiveness. Night falls on the 15th of Sha’ban and almost two weeks before the holy month of Ramadan.
