The KPK govt extends schools closure on Wednesday in 10 districts until April 11 due to high incidence of coronavirus. According to a World Health Organization (WHO) report, the virus reached a positive rate of 15 percent in Swat district and more than 5 percent in eleven other provinces. Including Peshawar, Madran, Charsadda, Schwaben, Kohat, Malakand, Suat, Lower Dir, Nowshera and Buner.
Peshawar district has the highest in the country with a coronavirus positivity rate of 18.6%. The province lost eight residents during the day due to infections.
According to a report from the Ministry of Health, the province has recorded eight Covid-related deaths and 583 during the day. Four deaths reported in Peshawar and two deaths each in Mardan and Kohat.
Private schools have also postponed annual exams, which were supposed to start on March 29, following a government announcement that the school would close.
“Dear students, the annual examinations for 2021 have postponed until April 11 due to government orders to close educational institutions. Annual examinations for classrooms up to eight will start on April 12,” said a message sent by the private school administration sent to parents.

A district education official said that since school closures were extended to April 11. The exam schedule could be discussed with the education department secretary at a meeting of all district education officials.
Meanwhile, the district government imposed a smart lockdown on 18 settlements in Peshawar starting at 6 p.m. on Thursday.
According to health authorities, Secretary General Dr. Kazim Niaz launched a campaign to make sure people in public follow normal operating procedures. Because that is the only way to protect oneself from infection, yet 2,271 people died and infected 81,204 in the province.
They said that the secretary general attended the NCOC meeting every two days. And passed his instructions on to the district administration to take action.
