Chief Minister (CM) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Mahmood Khan announced a package of Rs. 2 billion for the gas supply project for the Karak region of the Kohat division.
The Council of Ministers addressed meetings in Makh Banda and Banda Daud Shah, which stated that residents in the southern district are entitled to oil and gas compensation funds, which is why the provincial government initiated a project to develop the area in Karak.
CM Khan also disclosed the provincial government’s plan to spend Rs. 9 billion for various development projects in the Karak region over the next four years. A project to supply the town of Karak with clean drinking water from the Lawaghar Dam is also under preparation.
He also said progress had been made on the dualization of Bannu Road, a project worth Rs. 4 billion which is Rs. 2 billion have been released.
CM highlighted various development projects that have been completed for Karak, including upgrading existing health facilities and establishing a training hospital in the area.
The meeting was also attended by members of the National Assembly Shahid Hatak, Special Assistant to SM Kamran Bangash and Regional Leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
