Kate Middleton tries to reconnect with Megan Markle to mend their relationship. The Duchess of Cambridge’s call to Megan has increased since she gave birth to her daughter Lilibet.
“Kate has had more contact with Megan since [Lilibet] was born, sending [notes and] gifts and trying to build a relationship,” a source told Us Weekly.
“The company instructed employees to contact Harry and Megan more to soften them up,” the insider added.
In an interview with Oprah, Megan claimed that her relationship with Kate had been strained by the British press. “If you love me, you don’t have to hate it. And if you love her, you don’t have to hate me,” she explained at the time.
After the interview, a source said Kate and Megan were never in touch: “They were never this close, but the reason they don’t talk is because of the rift between Prince Harry and Prince William.
“Harry and William have had little communication over the past year, but none of their communication has been friendly in a long time. There is a real animosity the brothers feel for each other and this carries over to Megan and Kate’s very difficult relationship make them friends or even friends,” they added.
