When Kate Middleton complained of harassment

It was reported that Kate Middleton, then the Princess of Wales, lodged a formal complaint with the Press Complaints Commission (PCC) in 2007 regarding a photograph of her that had been published in a British publication.

According to a news article published by Reuters on March 30, 2007, the picture shows Kate Middleton looking over her shoulder as she walks along the street while holding a coffee. The image was accompanied by a caption that suggested “stony-faced Kate” was about to reprimand William after he was allegedly pictured that month with other women.

The unsigned snapshot was allegedly taken as a result of Middleton’s complaint, which stated that she was subjected to harassment.

When they were both attending St. Andrews University in Scotland, where they now live together as husband and wife and are the proud parents of three children, William and Middleton had their first encounter.

Prior to this, attorneys for Kate Middleton had written to the editors of the newspaper to urge them to exercise restraint and to warn them that filing a complaint with the PCC was one possible course of action.

After some time had passed, Kate Middleton eventually reached a settlement with the newspaper over her harassment lawsuit. The settlement included an apology and an acknowledgment of wrongdoing.
