Kate Middleton discusses her own confinement struggles: ‘I feel torn apart’

According to People magazine, Kate Middleton recently discussed her difficulties with parenting during a pandemic in a recent interview with the publication.

Express UK reported that the Duchess of Cambridge revealed her challenges and stated that she is “pulled in so many different directions” as a teacher and in-house stylist at the palace.

It was during a phone chat Kate had with headmaster Melissa Loosemore that the issue of “one word that epitomises parenting during this pandemic” came up.

In her speech, the Duchess added, “I believe that as parents you have the day-to-day components of being a parent, but I believe that during lockdown we’ve had to take on additional tasks that perhaps others in our communities, or in our lives, would have supported us and assisted us with.”

During this lockdown, I’ve taken on the role of a hairdresser, much to the dismay of my children, who are forced to see their mother chop hair in front of them. The position of teacher must be taken on by us – and I know that I personally feel pushed in so many different directions. You do your best with everything, but at the end of the day, you’re absolutely exhausted.
