Despite a rumour, Johnny Depp will not return to Pirates of the Caribbean. A media site stated Wednesday that Depp, 59, would reprise his role as Captain Jack Sparrow in the new sixth film despite being fired by Disney in 2018.
Insiders told DailyMail.com that the information is false. Depp recently played the most appreciated character in 2017’s Dead Men Tell No Tales.
The Sun stated that Depp’s name was found on a Pirates of the Caribbean call sheet.
The Rum Diary actor will test shoot in the U.K. in February 2023, an insider said. “No director is linked to ‘A Day at the Sea,'” a source said.
“An unofficial call sheet has been distributed.”Executive Producer Bruce Hendricks worked on the first three films.
Source: “Other details are secret.” Disney wants to keep the entire endeavour secret.
Disney hasn’t commented on Depp’s return to Pirates.
