Jennifer Lopez has spoken out about the reason for her song Cambia El Paso.
In the wake of her recent separation from Alex Rodriguez, the Latina singer claimed her song is about ‘changing’ and ‘not being scared.’
“The song is about transformation and not being scared to take the first step,” she stated on SiriusXM’s Pitbull’s Globalization show on Thursday.
“Like, just take the first step, move forward, and do what you have to do. If anything in your life isn’t feeling right, like, just make that motion and dance,” she remarked of the music, which she co-wrote with Rauw Alejandro. “Dance is life, love, and happiness,” says the narrator.
The On the Floor singer clarified that when she says “dance,” she doesn’t only mean “moving about physically.” “I’m referring to something else.
She only wants to dance, dance, dance, and dance some more,” she stated. “You have to live. You must be true to yourself. You must be content. And that’s the point of the album.”
