Four Saudi agents who killed journalist Jamal Khashoggi received paramilitary training from a private US State company. It reported that Saudi agents had trained by a Tier 1 group in 2017. Two of them had attended an earlier version of training that began in October 2014 and continued through January 2015.
The Arkansas-based security firm owned by private investment firm Cerberus Capital Management. He said the training was defensive in nature and designed to better protect Saudi leaders.
The training license was initially issued by the State Department during the Barack Obama administration. But training continued for at least the first year of President Donald Trump‘s term.
CEO of Cerberus confirmed his company’s role in training last year, but said the company had not trained Saudis since December 2017. T1G management, the board of directors and I stand firm before the US government.
The US people and all international community is condemning the horrific and brutal murder of Jamal Khashoggi.
What happened to Jamal Khashoggi?
Khashoggi had brutally murdered and possibly dismembered after he had treated in their consulate in Istanbul, Turkey in October 2018. While Riyadh initially denied any role in his killing. But he later tried to hold him accountable for what they saw as a transfer operation that has happened.
In Febraury, President Joe Biden‘s government said that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman approved the killing. The report also said that the heir to the throne, the kingdom’s de facto ruler approved an operation to capture or kill journalist. But explanation had rejected by everyone.
