PTI leader Jahangir Tareen broke his silence on Wednesday over reportedly meeting former President Asif Ali Zardari and being able to join PPP.
The PTI leader rejected the report and said he would not separate from his party. Jahangir Tareen spoke to the media after arriving at the bank court to attend his bail hearing. “Not one, not two, but three FIRs have been registered against me,” he said.
“Of the 80 sugar factory owners, only Jahangir Tarin was visible,” he said, wondering why he should “take revenge”. The PTI leader said his “loyalty was being tested”. He added that the investigation into the sugar crisis has been ongoing since last year.

Despite complaints against the ruling party, Jahangir Tareen admitted that he would not part with PTI. “I am a member of PTI and will remain as one,” he said. When a reporter asked Jahangir Tareen if he would meet with the former president and PPP leader Asif Ali Zardari, he said the report was false.
Jahangir Tareen will be at the PPP next week to meet Zardari: Shehla Raza PPP Development Minister Sindh Shahla Raza deleted a tweet on Tuesday speculating about Tarin’s possibility to join the PPP at a “next week” meeting with Zardari in Karachi.
Raza claimed that Tarin had met with Mahdum Ahmed Mahmoud of the PPP and “had to meet with Zardari” in Karachi. “It is believed that he will leave PTI and join PPP with his assistants at the meeting,” he wrote on Twitter.
