Shahbaz Sharif, President of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Opposition Leader in the National Assembly (NA), stated that the time has come to end Imran Khan’s government.
On Thursday, he said that the current administration is a result of rigging and only knows how to do U-turns while speaking at a ceremony honoring Khawaja Muhammad Rafiq in Lahore.
“I had told you for 3.5 years about the relationship between the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and Imran Khan Niazi,” Shahbaz stated. “What happened to the sugar scandal?” What happened to the attempt to plant a billion trees? “Where is the Malam Jabba scandal?” Shahbaz asked, pointing to projects of the incumbent government that had been found with flaws.
He claimed that the government, which has maintained Pakistan’s mortgage in the hands of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), is planning to introduce a mini-budget.
“People are unable to cook because they do not have access to gas during the winter season,” he said, adding that Imran Khan is putting nameplates on the projects of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, for which he labored day and night.
He claimed that he laid the cornerstone for Lahore’s Knowledge Park, which had been inaugurated earlier in the day by Prime Minister Imran Khan. Following his defeat in local government elections in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Imran Khan remembered to put on a new nameplate, Shahbaz added.
“You should have enquired of us.” If you (Imran Khan) were so fond of it, we would have sent you to put nameplates,” he said.
The opposition leader stated that the administration will hold accountable for the country’s cruelty.
He claimed that the entire world know how Imran Khan came to power and that the time has come to seize their collars.
Imran Khan Disappointed to People: Shahbaz Sharif
Imran Khan, according to Shahbaz, has disappointed the people who voted for him for the first time. He sighed, “How unlucky the day when an ineligible individual came to the power on the country.”
“Politics is the word for sharing grievances, lifting people out of poverty, providing assistance to the ill, and eliminating poverty and unemployment.”
“A mother cannot afford to buy milk for her child, unemployment is on the rise, let alone thinking of building a house,” said the opposition leader.
Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, according to the opposition leader, ended the country’s 20-hour load shedding and kept his commitment to eliminating darkness in Pakistan.
Imran Khan had labeled the metro bus as a “Jangla bus service” while standing on the container, Shahbaz recalled and had claimed that he would refuse even if the Nawaz Sharif govt offered him the Peshawar project for free.
However, he said that Imran Khan created the Peshawar Bus Rapid Transit (BRT), which is constantly breaking down, and that the PTI government has failed to build a hospital or university in the city.
