The Ministry of Information Technology and ISPR are working together to develop and promote the animation industry in Pakistan. Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunications Syed Amin Ul Haque, Secretary of IT and Telecommunications, Shoaib Ahmad Siddiqui, Major General of the ISPR Directorate General Babar Iftikhar, attended a meeting on this topic at ISPR headquarters today.
The global animation market is estimated at $ 270 billion and is projected to grow to $ 415 billion by 2025. Pakistan has great potential to be part of this growing industry. At present, Pakistani animators have limited access to the necessary infrastructure and professional training / courses. The animation industry can make a significant contribution to the Pakistani economy. This can create job opportunities, attract foreign investment and help us prepare a trained workforce.
Apart from contributing to entertainment, the animation industry is widespread in the fields of education, health care, engineering, and defense. Joint efforts are made to promote animation in various areas of society for growth and prosperity.
As part of supporting aspiring entrepreneurs in the animation sector, a special animation center is also proposed. Short animation, games and design courses will be introduced to train staff in specific areas. The collaboration between MolTT and ISPR will be a real start to promote the animation industry in Pakistan.
