iOS Netflix Finally Allows Subscription Via App

You’ll need a Netflix subscription if you want to stream Netflix on your iPhone or iPad. Unlike other subscription iOS apps, Netflix requires users to visit their website to manage their account settings. It means that customers have required to sign up and subscribe through Netflix’s website in order to access the service.

This is due to Netflix’s refusal to pay the 30 percent cut that Apple receives from in-app sales, at least for the time being. According to reports, Netflix allowing subscription for iOS users using the company’s app. It appears that the pricing stays unchanged from what you would pay if you were to subscribe to Netflix on its own.

Users will be able to pay $8.99 a month for the Basic plan, $13.99 for the Standard plan, and $17.99 for the Premium plan, respectively. This is particularly noteworthy because, just a week after launching its games on the App Store. Netflix announced that customers could already subscribe through those apps. However, it now appears that subscriptions are also available through the main Netflix app.

Many developers have expressed dissatisfaction with Apple’s 30 percent cut, stating that it is an excessive cost. And that some developers believe they have no choice. Earlier this month, the court presided over the Apple vs. Epic lawsuit said that Apple will have required to accept external payment methods on the App Store by December 1.
