Instant Replies to Your Messages on WhatsApp Desktop

Since the first smartphone came out, mobile devices have supported the idea of providing Instant Replies, most messaging apps, like WhatsApp, let you respond to a message right from the notification area, which can save you time. Because of this feature, you can respond to a message even if you’re doing something else at the same time.

On personal computers, such features are almost unheard of, but WhatsApp Desktop will soon make them possible. As usual for this company, the people at WABetaInfo were the ones who found out about the new feature.

Their most recent report says that notifications for Instant Replies will soon be added to the beta version of the application that WhatsApp Desktop offers. This feature lets you do exactly what it says on the box. Respond to messages right from the alerts without having to open the app. The following screenshot shows an example of how the user interface looks:

The image shows a Windows notification popup that looks like the ones that usually appear. But this one also has a tiny text box where users can type quick answers. Because it doesn’t show a preview of the shot, you will have to open the app to see those photos.

The feature is now available on the beta version of WhatsApp Desktop, which users can download from the Microsoft Store. It’s not clear when it will be in the stable version of the program, but it’s important to keep in mind that it’s only in the Universal Windows Platform App.
