Instagram Gets Another TikTok Trend

While watching TikTok videos, you may have observed that some of the narration is provided by an unnatural-sounding voice, which is a robotic-sounding voice. As amusing as it is, it appears that Instagram will gets this trend of TikTok for their own text-to-speech tool. Which will allow Reels artists to create movies with a robotic voice narration, similar to the one used by Snapchat.
In the words of Instagram, “Attention Reels creators! We all know that incorporating sound and audio is one of the most enjoyable components of creating a reel! We’re excited to announce the release of two new audio tools today: Voice Effects and Text to Speech.”

To make use of the function, users only need to launch Instagram, navigate to their Reels, input text into the textbox feature, and then pick the option that turns it into speech. That’s all there is to it. It shouldn’t come as a surprise that Instagram will be offering this feature. With Reels, the corporation is going after TikTok in a more aggressive manner.

Also previously revealed by the corporation was the fact that their algorithms will no longer boost videos that may have the TikTok watermark. Given the fact that some creators create TikTok films and then upload the same video to Instagram. We suspect that Instagram wanted creators to use Reels to highlight the platform’s capabilities. Rather than simply serving as another reuploading platform.
