The BCCI has sent the ICC an appeal for the ICC to ignore the T-20 domestic Tournament (KPL — Kashmir Premier League), which will start on August 6, 2021.
The PCB was unhappy with what it saw as attempts by the BCCI to tamper in the internal affairs of the PCB. This was predicated on claims that the BCCI had been in contact with many other full members to attempt to prevent players from the league.
On Twitter Herschelle Gibbs, the former opener of South Africa, which is scheduled to participate in the League, said he was threatened with no admission “For any work linked to cricket in India. Ludicrous.”
The Full Member Country in which the competition takes place, and not the ICC, shall approve these domestic league events and the KPL shall have the permission of the PCB. There is nothing regarding matches in disputed regions in any ICC regulation.
The KPL is a PCB-approved Six-Team Cricket League which will be contested in the Pakistan-administered Cashmir Cricket Stadium on August 6. The organisers said that they were captured in a draft by Shahid Afridi, Shoaib Malik, Imad Wasim, Mohammad Hafeez, Kamran Akmal and Shadab Khan last month. Squads were chosen as the main organisers.
