The federal government increased oil prices for the next 15 days of June 2021. They approved increases of Rs 2.13 per liter for petrol and Rs 1.79 per liter for diesel. The price of kerosene rose to Rs 1.89 per liter, while light diesel production rose to Rs 2.03 per liter.
The new prices are effective from 12AM June 16, 2021.
After the increase in oil prices, The current price of gasoline is Rs 110.69 per liter. The price of diesel, kerosene and diesel fuel per liter is Rs. 112.55, Rs. 81.89 and Rs. 79.68, respectively.
The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has proposed a fuel price increase of more than Rs 4 per liter over the next 15 days starting June 16. The government also proposed an increase in the price of diesel by Rs 3.50 per liter.
Before on May 31, Prime Minister Imran Khan rejected a proposal from OGRA to raise oil prices over the next 15 days.
