Imran Khan says Pakistan ‘back on track’ to Madina’s guiding principles

On Tuesday, Prime Minister Imran Khan said that after his defeat, Pakistan “back on track” to become a country following the principles of a welfare state in Madinah.

“Fifteen centuries ago, our Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) created the first welfare state in Medina: based on the rule of law, meritocracy, compassion, and tolerance; for the nation on Pakistan Day.

He said Muslims had become the “greatest civilization” in decades, a position they held “for centuries.”
The prime minister said that when Muslims abandon these guiding principles, “their civilization will be destroyed and degenerate”.

He then said that Quaid-e-Azam had come, which “gave us the Pakistani dream” based on the vision of the poet Iqbal – a vision based on the principles of Riyasat-i-Madinah.

“So far we haven’t been able to reach our great potential because we neglected our Quaid vision,” he said.

However, he said that Pakistan is currently “on the right track to realize this ideal by bringing a strong under the rule of law and creating a welfare state with the Ehsas, Arrow, and Health Card programs”.
