Imran Khan attends opening ceremony of Winter Olympics in Beijing China

The Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan, and members of his entourage attended the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics 2022 in Beijing today.

Today, Prime Minister Imran Khan attended the opening ceremony of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics, which took place at the Bird’s Nest in Beijing.

Prime Minister Imran Khan rose from his seat to express his gratitude to the players when the Pakistani squad arrived during the athletes’ parade on Saturday.


During the athletes’ march, the Pakistani squad was also greeted enthusiastically by the spectators.

Fawad Chaudhry stated on Twitter that the Pakistani team was greeted warmly in the stadium following the arrival of the Chinese athletes, demonstrating the Chinese people’s affinity for the Pakistani people.


The Winter Olympics’ opening ceremony is currently taking place in Beijing, and it is being watched by world leaders including the Russian president, the Emir of Qatar, the president of Tajikistan, the director-general of the World Health Organization, and the secretary-general of the United Nations.

Over 2,900 competitors from 91 countries will compete in the Winter Olympics in Beijing China, from February 4 to February 20 in 109 competitions of various genres in 15 different sports, according to the organizers.


Since the Olympics are held on a global scale, they help to promote mutual understanding, inclusivity, and friendship among people all over the world. Beijing is the first city in history to host both the summer and winter editions of the Olympic Games.

The Prime Minister will also meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping and Prime Minister Li Keqiang to address a wide range of issues, in addition to attending the ceremony.
