IHC to hear the intra-court appeal of Faisal Vawda’s dual citizenship tomorrow

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) will hear an internal lawsuit on Monday that will disqualify Pakistani Senator Tehrik-e-Insaf Faisal Wauda from serving in parliament.

Faisal Wauda’s petition against the Unified Order decision, which refers to the disqualification of PTI Senators from the General Election Commission of Pakistan, will be heard by the IHC Court, which includes Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Athar Minallah and Judge Babar Satar.

The applicant claimed that when submitting his candidacy documents for the 2018 general election, the PTI Senator made false statements about his US citizenship and that he could be disqualified under Article 63 of the Constitution.
