The Islamabad High Court (IHC) postponed regular hearings on Friday as more Covid-19 cases emerged in the federal capital.
According to notifications from the registrar of the IHC, only critical cases will be handled, including pre-and post-arrest bail, habeas corpus or detention issues, urgent petitions to apply for permits, and urgent matters.
These measures will remain in effect until April 11, the statement said.

According to the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), the coronavirus has claimed 84 additional lives in Pakistan in the past 24 hours, for a total of 14,617 deaths. After 50,172 tests were conducted, a total of 5,238 new infections occurred nationwide.
This is the largest number of infections reported this year and the highest since June 2020.
